On Thursday, the Redmi Pad 2 was introduced in a few chosen worldwide countries. The latest Android tablet from the Xiaomi subsidiary is available in two colors and has an 11-inch screen with a 2.5K resolution. The Redmi Pad 2 comes with a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. It has a 9,000mAh battery and a quad speaker unit with Dolby Atmos.

The cheapest edition of the Redmi Pad 2 with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage (Wi-Fi only) costs GBP 169 (approximately Rs. 18,000) in Europe. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant (Wi-Fi only) costs GBP 219 (about Rs 25,000).
The Redmi Pad 2 with 4G connection comes in two RAM and storage variants: 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, which cost GBP 219 and GBP 259, respectively. It is available in two colorways: graphite gray and mint green.

The Redmi Pad 2 runs HyperOS 2, an Android 15-based operating system. The display is 11 inches (1,600×2,560 pixels) and has a refresh rate of 90Hz, a pixel density of 274ppi, and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The display has a 16:10 aspect ratio and can support touch sampling rates of up to 360Hz. The tablet is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra SoC, with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The internal storage may be increased (up to 2TB) via a microSD card slot.
The Redmi Pad 2 comes equipped with an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture for photographs and movies. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls.
The Redmi Pad 2's connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C connection. It comes with four speakers that enable Dolby Atmos. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, a hall sensor, and a simulated ambient light sensor.
The Redmi Pad 2 is compatible with the Redmi Smart Pen, which is offered separately, and when coupled, it provides a refresh rate of 60Hz.
Redmi Pad 2 comes with a 9,000mAh battery that supports 18W rapid charging. The battery is said to last up to 234 hours of audio playback and 86 days of standby time on a single charge. It measures 254.58×166.04×7.36mm and weighs 510g.
