Perplexity Labs, a new artificial intelligence (AI) tool for the Perplexity platform, debuted on Thursday. According to the business, the new mode can convert text prompts into whole projects like reports, spreadsheets, and even basic web apps. Perplexity Labs employs deep web surfing and code execution to complete complicated activities that were previously beyond the platform's capabilities. The new function comes only a month after the San Francisco-based AI startup launched the Perplexity Assistant for iOS.
Perplexity Labs need around 10 minutes to complete a task
According to the firm, Perplexity Labs is an upgraded version of Deep Research that is now available to all Perplexity Pro users. The latter produces complete responses to complicated inquiries that usually need repeated searches. The new functionality may also develop papers and web apps by using particular tools and devoting more time to the work.

According to the business, Perplexity Labs can develop and execute code for activities such as data structure, formula application, and chart and document creation. Any papers, code files, charts, and photos generated throughout the work are saved in a separate Assets tab. Users may see and download the files from there. There is also an App option, which allows you to create rudimentary dashboards, slideshows, and webpages.
The business has provided instances of the jobs that Perplexity Labs can undertake. These include developing a trading strategy based on a certain stock or event, creating a genre-blended film concept with a visual storyboard and screenplay, establishing corporate profiles, and producing comparison data visualisations.
