Oppo teases its next smartphone launch
Oppo announced in a press release the arrival of a new smartphone in the nation. "This Oppo phone is gearing up for a bold comeback," the post stated. The forthcoming model is supposed to be "tougher, sharper, and built to raise the bar".
The release features a picture of a gadget under wraps, with the brand encouraging fans to guess what's inside the cover. The teaser includes a 'coming soon' tag.
While Oppo has not officially verified the names, the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro are likely to be released in India shortly. It is also possible that the brand will debut either the Oppo K13 Turbo or K13x variants.
The Oppo Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro are expected to enter the Indian market in the first week of July. They were revealed in China last month, with the base edition of the vanilla Reno 14 costing CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs. 33,200).
The Chinese versions of the Oppo Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro feature 6.59-inch and 6.83-inch 1.5K flat OLED panels. The base model is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC, while the Pro model has a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor. They have 50-megapixel primary cameras and 50-megapixel selfie cameras. The Reno 14 features a 6,000mAh battery, whereas the Reno 14 Pro has a 6,200mAh battery.
Meanwhile, Oppo is rumored to be developing the Oppo K13x and K13 Turbo variants. The latter is said to operate on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC.
